Muito usado quando não importa se é o pai ou a mãe. Usar: pais, pai ou mãe, um dos pais; ter, criar ou educar filhos.

• “I am a responsible parent,” said Sue.
• “Sou uma mãe responsável”, disse Sue.

Nem Sempre.....

SCHEME = esquema; trama

Nem sempre a palavra “SCHEME” quer dizer “esquema”. Muitas vezes, este substantivo tem o sentido de “trama”, “plano ardiloso”, “maquinação”, “intriga” etc. O vocábulo “SCHEME” pode também ser empregado como verbo e, neste caso, pode significar “fazer planos”; “tramar”, “conspirar”, “maquinar”, “urdir” etc.
